1. I will show my feet and the ground as I’m WALKING UPRIGHT through different places. (Stores, grass, concrete, water, states, countries…)
2. I will examine a sacred place from my childhood as well as a similar sacred place that I’ve replaced the old place with. I’ll discuss what I used the old place for and how the new place attempts to recreate the feeling of the old place.
3. I will explore places that I have changed or made a significant difference. I will show what the place looks like now and if possible what it used to look like. This would display a change of place even though it is still essentially the same place.

I like the first idea the best. It goes along with what you are working on in seminar.
But, how in the hell, with what equipment, are you going to use to film this?
I think your third idea has the most potential. That probably isn't what you wanted to hear, but it is the one that intrigues me most. I think it could be very interesting to see "place" as a temporal concept. Learning that a place looks one way now when contrasted to how it looked before whatever "changes" you made to that place could be interesting.
The third idea is the best. I too have wondered what a place or even a person for that matter would be like had I not been around. The only problem I could foresee is how you're going to portray the image of "what could've been." Are you going to do photo edits?
All your ideas are in line with a place morphing, changing, regenerating and becoming something anew. If you consider how the camera is itself is presented, stationary, or constantly moving, then you can probably get a better idea of what you want to do with your cinematography in contrast to your ideas.
I like both the first and third ideas, but it may be difficult to find original pictures for the third idea. If it's pulled-off, it would be great to see. And the first idea really could be played-with for instance automobile floorboards, bike pedals, etc?
I think you should attempt to combine the three.
The first and third ideas. If you do the first idea don't run into anything and hurt yourself. The idea of a changed place that is still the same place is an interesting concept to work with.
the third is the most interesting to me, although your going to have to do alot of research to pull it off.
first idea sounds the best to me. i posted a similar idea on my blog. the audience would get a sense of going different places but would rarely or never know where they were. cool.
